Chisholm Trail 150th Anniversary logoThe Trappings show features Oklahoma’s best Western artists and craftsmen. The show includes new artists as well as Trappings favorites who have been in one or all of the shows.

This invitational show brings together an impressive collection of fine works of Western art and handmade cowboy gear. The show is expertly exhibited to showcase the beauty of each item. All works are available for purchase, deliverable following the close of the show.

‚ÄčOn display will be paintings, drawings, wood turning, sculpture, works of silver, cowboy boots, rawhide works, decorative gourds, pottery, and furniture. Many of the artists are incorporating the Chisholm Trail 150th recognition into their works of art this year.  

Featured artists are Jim Baker, DeWayne Colwell, Doug Cook, Ray Dorwart, Sarah Harless, Harold Holden, Tex Hollis, Barbara Jacques, Stephen Jones, Joe Lamerton, Kathryn Leitner, Bob Rae, John Rule and Marshall Rule. Each participating artist can exhibit up to three works of art or gear. These works are of fine quality, integrity and craftsmanship that will provide years of enjoyment and become treasured collectibles.

The show is free with regular museum admission.
