On August 21, a total solar eclipse will be seen in many parts of the United States. While the total phase of this solar eclipse is not visible in Enid, the eclipse will be about 95 to 98 percent complete just after 12 pm. The NOC Mackie Planetarium has 2 telescopes that can safely look directly at the sun and will be open to view the eclipse. In addition, they will hand out 3D glasses for the public (while supplies last) to safely view the eclipse.
Free admission but a donation of a non-perishable food item for Loaves and Fishes will be appreciated.
