OK Freewheel is week-long bicycle tour in early June across Oklahoma.The route changes each year, but typically begins near the Red River, Oklahoma’s southern border with Texas, and travels north to end just across the Kansas state line.The 39th edition of Oklahoma Freewheel will take place June 11-17, stopping in Enid on June 15. The route this year was selected to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Chisholm Trail, beginning in Wichita Falls, Texas, then going through Commanche, Duncan, Chickasha, Kingfisher, Enid, Ponca City and South Haven, Kan. Come join us and experience Oklahoma's beautiful scenery, historical towns, and amazing people.
On June 15, the Freewheelers will roll into Enid at all times of the day. Government Springs Park North is their campground for the night, and you are welcome to visit with the riders. Activities and events will be happening through the afternoon and evening before the riders leave no later than 8 am on June 16.
