A lighting ceremony and fireworks display the night after Thanksgiving kicks off a festive Christmas season in Enid. From The Nutcracker to Scrooge, Christmas in the Park to Christmas in the Village, the Star of Bethlehem to The Prophecy Show to a Living Drive-Through Nativity, come stake your claim for holiday cheer in Enid.

 

 

 

Holiday Events

Nov. 29 – Enid Lights Up the PlainsEnid Lights Up the Plains

Kickoff Christmas in Enid during this holiday festival full of live music, horse-drawn wagon rides, a Christmas Lights Parade, fireworks and a special visit from Santa Claus. Festivities begin at 5 p.m. and are free to attend. Learn more >

 

Nov. 30 – Family Saturday: Holiday Ornaments

Why do we decorate pine trees and greenery for Christmas? Enjoy making a traditional Christmas ornament while learning a bit of history at the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center. Event is free with regular museum admission. Learn more >

 

 Nov. 30, Dec. 7, 14 and 21 – Christmas in the ParkChristmas in the Park

Celebrate the holiday season in Meadowlake Park with food, entertainment, pictures with Santa, polar express train rides, ornament making stations and more. The park also will have a special mailbox so children can mail their list to Santa. Free admission. Learn more >

 

Dec. 4 and 11 – Star of Bethlehem

See what the sky over Babylon looked like over 2,000 years ago and see how events in the night sky guided the Wise Men to Bethlehem. Free admission, but a donation of a non-perishable food item is appreciated. Two shows each night. Learn more >

 

Dec. 6, 7-31 – Christmas in the VillageChristmas in the Village

Escape to a simpler time and experience Christmas in the Cherokee Outlet as it was over 100 years ago. With the sights, smells and sounds of the holiday season at the Humphrey Heritage Village, this event is one the family is sure to love! For more information, visit csrhc.org. Learn more >

 

Dec. 7 – Pancakes and Pajamas: Breakfast with Santa

Even Santa needs to make time to eat. Bring the children to Leonardo’s Children’s Museum for breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Admission $9. Learn more >

 

Dec. 13 - Nightmare before Christmas

Friday the 13th in December... a Nightmare before Christmas! This event will be fun for all ages. Popcorn and drinks while watching Tim Burton's Nightmare before Christmas. Learn more >

Dec. 13-15 – Living Drive-Through NativityLiving Drive-Through Nativity

Stay in the warmth of your vehicle and enjoy a simple, visual reenactment of the truth of Christmas. The story comes alive through beautiful music, Scripture and live animals. Event is 6:30-9 pm each night at Enid First Church of the Nazarene. Learn more >

 

Dec. 14 – Sleigh Rides with Santa

Enjoy this horse meet and greet. Pet and feed the horses, enjoy Christmas stories, face painting and of course, sleigh rides with Santa at Bennie’s Barn, Enid’s equine therapy facility. $10 admission. Learn more >

 

Dec. 16-20 Trolley Bob Christmas Lights TourTrolley Bob Enid

Dec. 5 – The Prophecy Show: The Music of Trans-Siberian OrchestraProphecy Show Enid

Dec. 6-8 and Dec. 12-15 – Gaslight Theatre presents “Scrooge!”Gaslight Theatre Enid Scrooge

Dec. 7-8 – Dance Works of Enid presents “The Nutcracker”The Nutcracker Enid

The classic ballet takes center stage in Briggs Auditorium at NOC-Enid, as Clara takes a magical journey with a nutcracker soldier to the land of sweets. Tickets range from $15-$30 dollars. Dec. 8 – Enid Symphony Center presents “Amahl & The Night Visitors” featuring the Painted Sky Opera Company
