Calendar of Events
Halloweenid is Enid's Halloween festival (formerly known as Scare on the Square). It will take place from 5 pm to 8 pm on October 31 on the courthouse lawn on the downtown square. There will be costume contests for all age groups, best group, and pets as well as a Halloween Queen pageant. We will have food trucks on site along with games and other goodies. There will be a Souper Soup contest and a Jack-O-Lantern contest. The citywide Scarecrow contest will begin October 1st and entries will be taken until midnight on Sunday, October 27 - the winner will be announced at the Halloweenid event. Lana's School of Dance will be providing some frightfully fantastic entertainment.
We are having a parade and are encouraging people to join the Zombie Army and the Witch Dancers, both of which will be part of the parade. We are also taking applications for floats/parade entries. Email [email protected] for a float application.
The Halloween event originally began in 2003 and ran for 13 years. After a break and some reconfiguring, we are back and so excited to hold this festival once again!
This event is free for the public to attend and we are encouraging people that would like to come here to hand out their candy to please contact us at [email protected] or call Tammy at (580) 402-6732. We would love to have you!
