Join the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center every month on the second Wednesday for a brown bag lecture series. Subjects range from movie cowboys to gardening, from Dust Bowl Days to suffragettes, from civil war heroes to our own backyard heroes and more! Lectures start promptly at noon.

For our September Brown Bag Lecture, our special guest is Aaron Preston, our archivist at the Heritage Center. As we draw near to the anniversary of the Cherokee Strip Land Run of 1893, Aaron will discuss how towns were formed in northwestern Oklahoma following the land run.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be broadcasting the lectures live on Facebook, rather than have an in-person meeting.
